July 4th, 2008 weekend in CA

We went to Fontana, CA to Dave's sister's home because his Grandpa passed away during the week. We arrived on Friday the 4th and we had a barbecue and did some fireworks. Then Saturday we swam most the whole day and had another barbecue. Mmmm and was it good! Then Sunday we held a small family memorial for him. We looked at pictures and talked about both Dave's grandparents. Dave said a very special & beautiful prayer for the family and then we ate. I feel as though we ate the entire weekend (hopefully I didn't put on any of the 24 lbs I have lost so far).
Dave's mom emailed me just today (7-16-08) and said "We were so happy to have Dave, Heather and Trevor here for the weekend. It was a sad occasion, but we managed to enjoy it. Mimi and Papa would have wanted it that way."
DAVE'S FAMILY- Back row: Tad(brother-n-law), Beckie(sister), Falynn (neice) and Chris(cousin); middle row: Great Uncle Dick & Great Aunt June; front row: me, Trevor, Pam (Mom) and Dave

Falynn, Trev, Tad & Beckie

Pam, Trev & FalynnWatching and laughing at the fireworks with Gramma Trevor loved holding the sparklers until a spark fell on the top of his foot and burned it.

Daddy and Trev in their cool glasses and goggles

Is it time to eat dinner?? Yummy steak and chicken!

This is sooo much fun! I love the water and my daddy.
Gramma, Aunt Beckie and Daddy deciding who wants to pull me around the pool.
Coco the puppy trying to get my fishy toy.
Trev was sitting there eating his fish crackers and Brock came up and scooted behind him, Trev wasn't too happy about that. lol
It's the human totem pole!
OK...Trevor gets in the cage and Coco follows him in, so he decides to lock them both in. I told Trev it was time to go 'night-night' and so he tells me 'nite nite' and lays down in the kennel. It was the funniest thing ever.
Gramma trying to steal and eat his snack.
When we arrived back in Vegas at my sister Crystal's house, Trevor and Peytan were pretending to be washing dishes and their hands in the sink. It was so 'stinkin' cute! As they were doing this Cole and Tyler were looking on.

It looks like you had a fun week. Visiting family is nice, even under sad circumstances.
